Day 134 The Saga Cotinues

Conquered:

-The Washington monument where apparently EVERYone runs around with their babies in their jogging strollers and we had the following exchange:

Bailey: It looks smaller than I thought it was
Me: That's what she said ;)

-WWII Memorial surrounded by columns etched with the names of the states/properties that served with the US. I took a picture with the Philippines column and hugged the Florida one

-An EPIC search for Starbucks that led us to a random chance to attend...

-the White House gardens littered by too many tourists, a shitload of flowers and trees,  nice guides and menacingly-hot guards carrying guns bigger than me

-Museum of American History (Bailey refused to leave until we saw Michelle Obama's inaugural dress and I just followed wherever there were shiny things like Judy Garland's red slippers)

-Museum of Natural History where I marveled at the mummification process, Bailey looked grossed out, and we both spent too much time in the precious stone department and simultaneously bemoaned the tragedy that our cameras had run out of battery

Casualties:

-Our Feet: we both ended the day with worsening blisters; I ended the day hobbling like Quasi-freakin-modo

-Money: discovering the price of cab fare (shoot.me)

-Exhaustion: wanting to pass out on every surface we could find but that's to be expected since we got lost for 3 hours yesterday, walked around Chinatown for an additional 6, with yet  another 12 hours thrown into the mix just today alone.

BUT it's okay because we actually got to see and feek sunlight today :)
