I wake up bright and early in the morning, hit up the fridge from the cabin next door, then turn on the oven in mine. Twenty minutes later, I have a lovely little batch of cinnabuns.
I take said batch of cinnabuns and promptly float over to every person in our party with the words, "Hey there. Cinnabun? Napkin? Like it? Great. Now get up!"It takes an hour and then some, but before long, we're up and running out the front door and on our way to Islands of Adventure!!!
We surprisingly don't get lost on the way over and it takes us a while to get through the ticket line but, once we do, I demand that we go to Harry Potter World immediately!! And off we go!!...in the wrong direction. Turns out, we took the unnecessarily long way through the park to get to that part of the park, sweating and trekking all the way through...only to find out that we apparently needed to get in a line so that we could get a ticket so that later on in the day we could come back at a predetermined time to get into WWHP.
... I think I said "What the fuck" at least ten times. After that failed fiasco, I turned to the one solace I could find in the entire damn park: alcohol. Turns out, even a 75 minute wait doesn't seem so long if you've had a bottle/tall-cup of beer to continuously sip out of. Yes, I acknowledge that this is likely an early form of alcoholism but, to be fair, I couldn't get a fucking wand from WWHP so I took the next form of excitement I could find in the bottom of a bottle. Regardless of my alcohol level, we had a pretty damn good day.
Highlights include:
- Andre and Jon being politely informed that "No" they could not be shown their ride picture because Andre decided to take off his shirt and have Jon grab his pecs as we went down a water ride.
- A MealDeal is pretty much this deal where you pay $20 for free meals in four different places in the park throughout the day. Soo...when we weren't walking around trying not to get a heat stroke, we were in said MealDeal places taking complete and utter advantage of the deal by getting multiple meals for shits and giggles.
- Double-fisting through the park with a cup of butterbeer in one hand and a tall one in the other. I catch the confused eye of a few children and almost feel bad...but that doesn't last long because, after all, it's my friggin' birthday.
- Finally getting to ride the ride at WWHP. My drink runs out before we get on the ride and I marginally panic when I realize I'm sobering up in a line, but it passes soon afterwards. The ride's not that big of a deal but it's Harry freakin' Potter. So it's all good in the hood~
