Aside from being acutely aware that I'm more likely to get athlete's foot than buns of steel and being grossly paranoid that someone could see me lathering my ta-tas, it wasn't that bad. I mean, the pressure and temp were great and it's not something I have to pay monthly for. All in all, I figured it was a pretty decent experience in public bathing although it occurred to me as I was rinsing out my hair that little Asian women probably shouldn't venture anywhere naked and alone in the dead of the night and vowed to make this a daylight habit for safety reasons.
As I drove home and started feeling the weight of my workout on my body, I became so fabulously lazy that I seriously contemplated bringing a set of scrubs with me to my next workout so that I could go to the gym, shower, and essentially sleep in my car with the next night's uniform on inside the hospital's parking garage. I mean, that's all I really need at home: sleep. Granted, my car's a little cramped in the backseat but I'm like Filipino take-out on the go and can fit almost anywhere so I figure, it's totally possible. I mean, I could pack a blanket during the winter and an eye shield until I finally get my windows tinted and totally live out of my car like an unnecessarily homeless woman who bathes in public. And on days off when I don't have to go to work, I could totally crash at the mall or Barnes and Noble or, (when B&N closes) a library or a coffee shop.
The more I think about this idea, the more I like it. I mean, I wouldn't be driving unnecessarily far to my house since my car would be my house, I wouldn't have to pay electricity or water bills, it's not like I cook meals at home (let alone eat there), and I'm fairly certain if I had a small storage locker somewhere, I could keep my clothes and miscellaneous items for less than what I'd be paying rent for a 2-bedroom apartment. I mean, I'd never get mail because I wouldn't have a permanent residence and I'd be pretty fucked when a Category 3 hurricane comes to town, but otherwise, it could work...I think.
It might be the sleep-deprivation talking, but homelessness doesn't sound too shabby... (well, if you have money)
