Sometime on our last day at D.C. Bailey and I made an off-hand joke that we were determined to make a travel guide for future references now that our first official "big girl" trip had finally ended. The following is the first compilation of what are likely to be many other trips:
- Entertain the idea of not bringing a damn thing since you're bound to buy completely unnecessary souvenirs that'll take up more space and make your shoulders/arms/hands hurt like hell
Make sure you know where your hotel is before you get lost for 3hrs looking and find yourself in the ghetto-part of town wanting to run
Never ask a security guard how far the capitol is because you'll get an unnecessarily long lecture based on your shoe style and pace
Mike is always early
It is okay to take creepy pictures...as long as you don't get caught
Cabs are a horrible idea
Make sure your hotel is close to transportation and away from trains that like to run all hours of the night
Bring tennis shoes because other shoes will hurt various parts of your feet you never knew could hurt while walking
Cabs are a horrible idea
Always know where the caffeine and nearest CVS stores are
Large groups of children dressed alike are no fun
Abe and Arlington are just across the river
