During important holidays, like Memorial Day Weekend, the 4th of July and Labor Day, your salary gets kicked up to time and a half. Considering that work is really dull lately, I anticipated having a wonderfully easy evening and getting paid a shitload of money for it.
10 hours into my shift, I'm crying in the supply closet, the med room, and the staff room and having the very sweet Pakistani IV nurse comfort me as I cried continuously. Never before had I wished to have a bottle of alcohol in the back of my trunk so much as I did between the hours of 4 and 5 am.
