You can’t control people.
I learned that the hard way from both sides. You can try to morph and change people to who you want them to be but, ultimately, it’s never really them and you’re just playing along with your own sick fantasy by believing that they’re doing it for you.
Control is an illusion, and to give into it is to delude yourself into believing that you’re more powerful and loved than you really are. And at the end of the day, isn’t that really the worst lie you can hear?
